Method
I made them using agar powder. If you ask what is the difference between this jelly sweets and the one made with fruit pectin, I will say that the taste is different. They turn out to be more dense somehow, I don't know.
Try, experiment, compare, the end result is a matter of personal taste.
Cooking
- Remove the watermelon pupl (about 600 g (21.15 oz)), and mash it with a hand blender, you don't have to pick out the seeds, the pulp will immediately turn into juice, so they won't even have time to split.
- And you need to strain through a sieve.
- Measure 500 ml (16.90 fl oz) of the juice, pour into a saucepan, add agar powder and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 7-9 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a mold and leave to set. Cut into pieces and sprinkle them with sugar. The color and flavor of the watermelon remain, but it mostly depends on the watermelon itself.
