Method

I made them using agar powder. If you ask what is the difference between this jelly sweets and the one made with fruit pectin, I will say that the taste is different. They turn out to be more dense somehow, I don't know.

Try, experiment, compare, the end result is a matter of personal taste.

Cooking

  1. Remove the watermelon pupl (about 600 g (21.15 oz)), and mash it with a hand blender, you don't have to pick out the seeds, the pulp will immediately turn into juice, so they won't even have time to split.
  2. And you need to strain through a sieve.
  3. Measure 500 ml (16.90 fl oz) of the juice, pour into a saucepan, add agar powder and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 7-9 minutes.
  4. Pour the mixture into a mold and leave to set. Cut into pieces and sprinkle them with sugar. The color and flavor of the watermelon remain, but it mostly depends on the watermelon itself.
