  1. Combine the flour, oat flakes and sugar.
  2. Put the butter, honey, baking soda and baking powder in a saucepan. Cook until the sugar dissolves completely. The mass has to foam!
  3. Pour the liquid mass into the dry ingredients. Knead the dough.
  4. When the dough reaches the room temperature, add the egg. Knead.
  5. If the dough is sticking to your hands, sprinkle it with some flour.
  6. Roll out the dough 5mm (0.20 inch) thick. Cut out the cookies of the desired shape, and bake them at 356-374F until ready.


  • If you want the cookies to be more delicate, then grind the oat flakes in a blender.
  • You may replace the ordinary sugar with the brown one. It will improve the taste and the color of your cookies.
  • You can make the cookies chocolate. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, and dip each baked cookie in it. You may dip just one half of it. Place the cookies on a wire rack, for the excess chocolate to drain.
